The eastern part of Ontario has become renown for sled dog competitions. It has been part of the winter activities of our area since 1979 and grows every year. It is held on the first weekend of February for 3 days and encompasses other attractions such as a lumberjack competition, craft sale, chili contest, little nippers contest, sale of sleds and dog supplies, sleigh rides, environmental displays, a curling Bonspeil, old timers’ hockey, skating and various food and beer facilities. Crowe Valley Lions Country Music Jamboree
The Crowe Vally Lions Club hosts a Country Music Jamboree every year the second weekend in June at the Fairgrounds. Many great performers come to show their talents and lots of country music fans come to enjoy what the Jamboree has to offer. http://www.crowevalleylionsjamboree.ca
Marmora Country Music Jamboree
The jamboree is located at 6666 Stirling-Marmora Road just south of Marmora Village. The Warren Family established the jamboree in the fall of 2002. It is held always the second weekend of September. 80 acres of camping is offered surrounding a stage jam packed with four full days of country music. The Marmora Area Canoe and Kayak Festival is an annual event held in April. This event brings more than 200 people to our municipality who love to canoe and kayak on our adventurous waterways! Easter Egg Hunt
Each year the municipality hosts an Easter egg hunt for the children in our community. This year we’re pleased to announce a scavenger hunt as part of our Easter Extravaganza. On April 4, 2015, kids can pick up a scavenger hunt list from the Marmora arena and venture out into the community gathering delicious chocolate eggs and other treats supplied by local businesses. When they’re all finished, they can enter their completed lists into a draw for a giant Easter basket! The Easter bunny will be out and about downtown and there will be activities at the arena from 9 a.m. to noon.
Canada Day Celebrations
The Crowe Valley Lions Club hosts a great Canada Day celebration annually on July 1. There is a parade that starts at the arena and ends at Memorial Park at 10 a.m. After the parade there are children’s games and fun activities going on in the park. At night there are always fireworks to enjoy. The Crowe Lake Waterway Association also hosts a lighted boat parade and fireworks on Crowe Lake!
Music In The Park
Each Tuesday evening throughout July and August the Crowe Valley Lions sponsor Music in The Park. Various musicians perform at Memorial Park throughout the summer months.
Thursday Night Cruise Nights
Weekly cars line Forsyth St. From 5:30 p.m. until dusk. Some nights see more than 120 cars. Cruise nights run May to September and host special events like the annual corn roast and Elvis night.
This family fun annual festival celebrates Marmora! This event takes place over the civic holiday weekend in August. This year’s event will coincide with the Pentecostal Church’s annual Family Day. Events on Saturday will include children’s games and activities, bouncy castles, popcorn, face painting, a barbecue and more.
On Saturday evening Marmora welcomes Driftwood Theatre Group to Memorial Park. Each year this group puts on a spectacular theatre in the round production of a Shakespearean play.
All events during this festival are free!
Fall Agricultural Fair – Annually Labour Day Weekend
This event signifies the end of summer for many people and is always held on Labour Day weekend. This year the fair will kick off on Friday evening with opening ceremonies and evening events.
Come check out the midway and vendors on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be delicious food and a fantastic home craft exhibition.

Marmora Santa Clause Parade
Join in the celebrations of Christmas spirit with Marmora’s Santa Clause Parade. This parade is held the first Saturday in December. Children will have a chance to meet Santa, see the reindeer and enjoy hot cocoa.
