MARMORA – The municipality is looking to fill a council vacancy after one of its elected members resigned last month.

Residents interested in the position can access an application package via the website ( or pick up one at the municipal office as of August 10. Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on September 6, 2017.

As part of the process, candidates will be interviewed by council in an open forum at a meeting scheduled for September 12, Bennett said. Council will then deliberate and make a decision by September 19 with intentions of having the new councillor in place by the October 3 meeting.
