The Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake will be holding a Public Meeting on Tuesday April 7th, 2015 at 2:00pm at 12 Bursthall Street, to receive comments and input from the public on the 2015 proposed municipal budget and fees.
The 2015 municipal budget is available for viewing on the Municipal Website; hard copies are available at the Library and Municipal Office. The public are welcome and encouraged to attend to express their views on the budget.
A detailed budget review will take place on April 8th at 9:00am at Town Hall
Throughout the month of March hazardous and electronic waste can be disposed of at the depot at 75 Wallbridge Crescent, every Thursday 10:00 till 2:00 and the first Saturday of every month 10:00 till 2:00. Expanded hours will begin in April.
Work is also being done on a paint recycling program that if all goes well will be implimented in late June.
Hazardous and electronic waste schedule which will include special events will be home delivered with the EMC paper to 54,000 homes in the area serviced by Quinte Waste Solutions (an increase of 8,000 homes over last year at a lower cost)
Battery recycle bags were distributed and are avaliable at the town hall, scheduled pick up period is March 16 to 27.
